On Saturday, November 14th, The Market Path celebrated it's 2nd Anniversary Event!

On hand for the event was samples of our fair-trade coffee and chocolates, a gift card drawing, tons of special sales, displays of our new holiday products, and an amazing & unique loom weaving demonstration by the Karen Community Weavers!.

We were so proud to bring awareness to the Karen Community weavers and dancers of North Hill. These women are famous not only for their story of fleeing Burma because of government oppression and inhumane treatment, but also for their beautiful loom-woven cloth. Karen Community blouses, sarongs, bags, and more are still available for purchase.

We are so proud to be a part of the growing, active community in Highland Square and we thank everyone who was involved on our Anniversary event!  In looking at our past two years, we celebrate our accomplishments while proudly looking forward as the Akron community’s beacon for fair trade ministry and practice.

We hope you continue to “cross our path” this holiday season and into 2010!
